About the event

Patients with cardiac disease often require anaesthesia for cardiac and non-cardiac related diseases. Dentals, mass biopsy and removal, cruciate surgeries and many other surgeries may be required for optimal patient care but ausculation of a heart murmur, or a list of concurrent cardiac medications may have you worried about anaesthetisting your patient. We will discuss how the most common conditions (MMVD in dogs and HCM in cats) will affect anaesthesia and what techniques you can use to mitigate these effects and optimise your anaesthetic.

Students will need a valid student email to register.
